Why Relationships Can Feel Harder in Your 30s:
Repeating arguments that never seem to get resolved.
Becoming parents or adjusting to life with young children.
Unequal household responsibilities or mental load.
Career Pressure or demanding schedules.
Emotional Disconnection or different communication styles.
Decisions about marriage, children, or where to live.
Mental Health or trauma effecting the relationship.
In-laws or extended family conflict dynamics.
Navigating the Building Years
Your 30s can bring more change in a few years than your relationship has ever had to navigate before. Couples therapy can help you stay connected while building a life that works for both of you.
Marriage and long-term commitment — Creating a shared vision for what you want your partnership and future to look like.
Career growth and demanding schedules — Staying connected while balancing ambition, work stress, and limited time together.
Becoming parents — Adjusting to new roles, changing priorities, sleep deprivation, and the emotional transition into parenthood.
The mental load and division of responsibilities — Addressing resentment around household tasks, childcare, planning, and the invisible work of managing a life together.
Money and financial decisions — Navigating different relationships with spending, saving, debt, homeownership, and financial security.
Sex and intimacy changes — Understanding differences in desire and rebuilding physical and emotional closeness when intimacy has changed.
Major life decisions — Working through questions about marriage, children, where to live, careers, and what you each want for the future.
Family and in-law boundaries — Creating boundaries that protect your relationship while maintaining important family connections.
Changing identities — Making space for each partner to grow individually without losing your sense of “us.”
Friendship and connection — Protecting the relationship from becoming only about schedules, responsibilities, and getting through the week.
Recurring conflict — Understanding why you keep getting pulled into the same arguments and learning how to respond differently.
Building a shared life — Developing the values, traditions, priorities, and sense of partnership that you want to carry into the next stage of your relationship.
I’m Jeanie
I help couples move beyond recurring conflict, rebuild trust, and create deeper emotional connection through honest, meaningful conversations.
I work best with couples who want an active, attuned therapist who will engage deeply rather than simply listen from the sidelines. My approach blends emotional depth with a transpersonal perspective, viewing relationships as a powerful space for growth, healing, and greater self-awareness. Together, we slow things down, explore vulnerability, and create space for more conscious and meaningful ways of relating.
Therapy can help you
build the kind of relationship you want to bring into the decades ahead.
My Approach
Relationships have a way of bringing our deepest needs to the surface. What looks like an argument about chores, money, sex, or parenting is often about something deeper—feeling rejected, unappreciated, alone, or misunderstood. Couples therapy helps you slow these moments down, understand the cycle you're caught in, and stop treating each other as the problem.
My work is rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Together, we explore the attachment needs and protective patterns shaping how you reach for—or pull away from—each other, creating new pathways toward safety, intimacy, and connection.
I also bring a transpersonal perspective, viewing relationships as opportunities for healing and growth. Sometimes our differences invite us to become more vulnerable, assertive, trusting, or open. Your partner can become not just the person you build a life with, but someone who helps you grow into who you're becoming.
I welcome monogamous, polyamorous, open, LGBTQIA+, and transitioning partnerships. Whether you're navigating recurring conflict, parenthood, intimacy, trust, or major life decisions, our work helps you build a relationship that can grow with you through the building years and beyond.
